Ashley McClellan

President, Chief Executive Officer

Ashley McClellan is President and Chief Executive Officer at Medical Center of Lewisville. Ms. McClellan served as the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer from 2008 until her appointment as CEO in December 2011. While at Lewisville, Ms. McClellan was instrumental in designing the first freestanding emergency department with an attached outpatient imaging center in North Texas, Flower Mound Emergency Center. She also has played an integral role in increasing employee engagement to be in HCA’s Top 10%, decreasing Emergency Department turnaround times and supported the organization in pursuing many recent accreditations such as Joint Commission Disease Specific Certifications for Total Hip, Total Knee and Inpatient Diabetes.

Ms. McClellan is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and earned her BBA in Finance from SMU Cox School of Business, and both her MBA and MHA from Texas Women’s University. In 2010, Ms. McClellan was honored in Dallas Business Journal’s annual 40 Under Forty issue and was awarded the 2011 Young Healthcare Executive of the Year award from the Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council.

Currently, Ms. McClellan serves on the Alumni Board for Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and the SMU Young Alumni Board, as well as the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. Ms. McClellan enjoys giving back to the community and is a member of the Flower Mound Rotary, Leadership Flower Mound Class of 2009, and is a wish granter for the North Texas Make-A-Wish Foundation helping to coordinate and fulfill wish requests for children with life-threatening medical conditions. She enjoys cooking and entertaining friends and family.

Lynn Benjamin

Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer

Lynn Benjamin

Lynn Benjamin joined Medical Center of Lewisville as Chief Nursing Officer in December 2005. Prior to joining MCL, Ms. Benjamin was the Executive Director and Chief Nurse at The University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, Comer Children’s Hospital. She has more than 25 years in progressive nursing leadership positions. She has clinical experience in Pediatric inpatient and outpatient care and services, including community health and did most of her bedside experience caring for sick infants and their families. Ms. Benjamin has been a presenter at local, national and international levels on such topics as Family-Centered Care in the NICU and how to develop a Family Advisory Board. Ms. Benjamin also serves on the Board of Directors for Pediplace, a local clinic that serves uninsured and under-insured children in Denton county and surrounding counties.

Ms. Benjamin received a diploma in nursing from South Chicago Community Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Purdue University and a Master’s in Business from Keller Graduate School of Management. Ms. Benjamin is certified in Executive Administration by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling, racquetball and anything that involves water sports.

Lisa Brodbeck

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Lisa Brodbeck

Lisa Brodbeck is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Medical Center of Lewisville. She is also the organization’s Ethics and Compliance Officer. Ms. Brodbeck was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. She attended college at David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1980. Upon graduation, she attended Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee and received a Masters in Business Administration in 1981.

Ms. Brodbeck began working for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in February 1982 as a staff internal auditor. In 1984 she moved to Statesville, North Carolina to assume an Assistant Controller position in a new replacement facility that HCA had just completed. From there, she held a Controller position in HCA’s hospital in Bedford, Texas and in 1988 she assumed her first CFO position for a hospital that had just spun off from HCA to HealthTrust, Inc. Ms. Brodbeck worked for HealthTrust at Medical Center Lancaster until 1996 and briefly assumed the HCA North Texas Division Controller position until early 1997 when she joined the staff at Medical Center of Lewisville as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Brodbeck is a scuba diving enthusiast, as well as watching English show jumping equestrian riders.

Kate Conklin

Vice President Medical Staff Services and Quality Resources

Kate Conklin

Ms. Conklin currently serves as Vice-President of Medical Staff Services and Quality Resources for Medical Center of Lewisville. In her current role, Ms. Conklin provides oversight for the hospital’s external accreditation and regulatory requirements and internal quality initiatives. Prior to her move to Texas in March 2005, Ms. Conklin worked for the Healthcare Sisters Health System at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay Wisconsin. Ms. Conklin has worked in hospital administration with emphasis on Medical Staff organization and leadership development for over 25 years.

A native of the Chicago area, Ms. Conklin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Kenney-Western University and holds national certifications in Medical Staff Services Management (CPMSM) and Professional Provider Credentialing and Clinical Privileging (CPCS). She is active in several state and national associations including the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) for which she serves as the current Association President. Ms. Conklin also serves as an industry representative to Homeland Security for the development of the ESAR-VHP program for disaster preparedness and is a member of the Joint Commission Professional and Technical Advisory Committee. Ms. Conklin currently serves as the public member of the American Board of Hospital Medicine. An avid sports enthusiast, in her spare time she enjoys distance running, golf, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers!

Meera Ananthaswamy

Vice President, Organizational Development

Meera Ananthataswamy

Meera Ananthaswamy is Vice-President of Organizational Development. Ms. Ananthaswamy graduated from McMaster University in Canada with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She also has a Masters in Health Care Administration and Business Administration and a PhD in Health Studies from Texas Woman’s University.

Ms. Ananthaswamy is a fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives and is a board member of the Texas Workforce Solutions. Her past work experience includes community public health nursing, practice management, strategic planning and teaching. She joined Medical Center of Lewisville in November 2007. Her hobbies include reading, sewing, and entertaining friends and family.

Dara Biegert

Assistant Vice President, Human Resources

Dara Biegert

Dara Biegert joined Medical Center of Lewisville in September of 2008 and serves as the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.  She oversees daily operations of the Human Resources department as well as many Human Resources related initiatives.  Ms. Biegert received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and has more than 20 years of hospital human resources management experience.  She is currently working on a Masters in Business Administration. Prior to coming to Medical Center of Lewisville Ms. Biegert led the Human Resources department for UT Southwestern Medical Center Hospitals in Dallas.

Ms. Biegert is originally from Houston, Texas and has been in the Dallas / Fort Worth area for 15 years.  She is an active volunteer with local community theatre.  Additional hobbies include sewing and scrapbooking.
